Have you ever walked out of a movie?
Submitted by Jack Yan.
Yes. Prince of the City. It was horrible.
What's your "deal breaker" when it comes to relationships?
KIDS. <shudder>
What part does the Sunday newspaper play in your life?
It's extremely important that I read the comics pages. I consider them to be an oracle for life, better than any horoscope, self-help book or theology.
Which book would you love to see adapted into a film?
Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand
Hanta Yo, by Ruth Bebee Hill
Ralph Nader entered the presidential race as an Independent on Sunday. What's your take on the newest presidential candidate?
No way is he just trying to "give America options." He's too smart to not know what he's doing. I think he's a professional spoiler, secretly hired by the Republicans. He will only take votes away from the Democratic nominee.
What movies have you seen that were better than the book?
Submitted by Referencegirl.
None, but Stand By Me is one of the most faithful adaptations of a book I've ever seen. It's based on "The Body" by Stephen King. Since it's only a short story, they were able to get everything in the story into the movie.
Want to be scared out of your wits? Read "The Shining" by Stephen King. I was so disappointed in the movie, because you really don't understand why he goes insane. In the book, you are privy to the inner world he slowly and irretreivably enters, never to return.
What talent do you most wish you had?
I wish I could roll my R's. And whistle.
If you could create your own National Holiday, what would it be and when?
Submitted by John M.
It would be National Kick Someone's Ass Day. You could open a can of whoop-ass on any and all well-deserving jerks, dicks, dingbats and sphincters, and they couldn't charge you with assault. If it was up to me, it would be EVERY day.
How far from your last home do you live? Why did you move and are you glad you did?

50 miles. I used to live in central San Diego, about 10 minutes from my work. Then about 3-1/2 years ago, my husband Rich & I sold our condo (just before the housing bust), took our $92,000 profit and sank it into a 2-1/4 acre property in the Cuyamaca mountains (near Julian) that had burned in the Cedar fires of 2003. We're now in debt, endure a 100-mile-a-day commute 5 days a week, and have never been happier. We're ruined - we'll never move back to the city.
